Come join us for the last meeting of the year for the biggest marketing event in the Upstate! This is your chance to get to know your peers and professional colleagues in the senior industry. We have new members each week. There will be applications on hand for you to take back to the office to re-new your membership for 2019!!! Don't forget to get your business signed up to sponsor a lunch for our Upstate meetings in 2019. There will be a list on hand to reserve your spot, we are filling up quickly, so be ready to sign-up!!!

Our lunch sponsors this month are Pacifica Senior Living Skylyn and Brookdale Therapy. You will enjoy retirement lifestyle provided in a stunning setting and a lifestyle rich with services, amenities, and endless possibilities. Brookdale Therapy services are located inside Pacifica to provide seniors therapy needs.

Our speaker this month is chair Dr. Craig Burnett with "Stand Down" program of the Upstate. The Upstate Stand Down was started in 2011 as a means to offer a one day program for homeless veterans and those veterans in need and their families. The aim was to offer services for this population in one place. The services include social services (DSS, Food Stamps, Veteran Benefits); housing (transitional and permanent); mental health services; health services (dentistry, optical, hearing, vaccinations, flu shots, diabetes testing, blood pressure tests, etc.) ; employment services and; clothes and outdoor equipment for those who were living outdoors. All services including those provided by the Veterans Administration in Spartanburg and Columbia are and have been free of charge to veterans and their family members.
