The Hippie Dash is a 5K fun run/walk that raises awareness and funding for people with disabilities. Far out dudes, hip chicks, flower children and funky fido's are invited to don their best 70s attire as they move and groove their way through a psychedelic 3.1 mile course around James Island County Park. Runners, walkers, children and pups of all ages are encouraged to participate. The Hippie Dash is all about fun, friendship and supporting a good cause.

Proceeds from the 2019 event will help Palmetto Goodwill increase advocacy efforts to evoke change by spreading awareness regarding issues that people with disabilities face on a daily basis – including transportation, housing and employment. Trident Area Agency on Aging’s proceeds will be used to increase services to adults with disabilities in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties.

Move & Groove - The Hippie Dash is all about fun; but a little competition never hurt anyone. We’ll again time the race with top male, female and child finishers receiving a totally cool prize!

Dress The Part - Pull out your best 70s-inspired outfit. Prizes will be awarded to the best dressed Dude, Dudette, Flower Child and Pooch. Visit your local Goodwill store to score some groovy vintage duds!

After-Party - What’s a race without a little celebration of your efforts. Stick around and get your groove on with great music, far-out food trucks and plenty of giveaways. It will be the bee’s knees!
