Join All About Seniors and Partners in Primary Care for a networking breakfast at PIPC Orchard Park. Our co-host, Angela Grant, will introduce you to their Pharmacy Manager Viren Patel, who will tell us about their pharmacy services. Being a pharmacist in today’s world means more than just filling prescriptions. Building and maintaining patient relationships is a priority for Dr. Patel.
In an ever-changing pharmaceutical industry with fluctuating insurance rates, pharmacists must keep in mind that higher medication costs are taking a toll on patients.
Sometimes patients experience difficulties with the affordability/cost of their medications. This means that pharmacists must be able to understand their patients’ circumstances. which could lead to high-quality patient interactions otherwise known as clinical empathy.
Many patients sometimes go without a prescribed medication for reasons that include drug costs and insurance issues
Dr. Patel will be available during our networking time to speak with you individually to answer questions you may have.
