You are strong, but accepting help is its own kind of strength.

Often times, by the time someone seeks out the support from others, they on the brink of a breakdown. All too often people wait until it's too late to ask for help. In order to manage safely and sanely on this journey called dementia, we need to know what to look for, sooner rather than later, and get the support we need.

Learn about when you should ask for help in order to live well with Alzheimer's/dementia; whether you are a caregiver or a person diagnosed.
You will hear from experts about:
1. When to ask for a therapy evaluation to help strengthen your muscles to improve your balance or grip. (Audra Velucci)
2. When to ask for help in the home or to help you get a break from your role as a caregiver. (Dorene Fridy with Comfort Keepers)
3. When to ask for help in the home when you are living with the early stages of dementia in order to remain independent. (Maria Turner, Alzheimer's Association Volunteer (facilitator & advocate), PLWD,
4. When is the best time to look for alternative placement in order to benefit from the various services. (Michael Mahon with The Gables on Pelham)
5. When to ask for hospice to come in. (Gayle Willett with Amedysis)

This class is for anyone wanting to learn more about asking for help in order to "Live Well" on this journey.
