Class Description

Dr. Jill Harrington, DSW, LCSW, FT, will be our guest presenter for our 24th annual Grief Seminar. She is a practicing social worker, therapist and Assistant Professor of Social Work at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. Dr. Harrington is also the creator and lead editor of the grief textbook, entitled, Superhero Grief: The Transformative Power of Loss.
The morning session for professionals (845am-12pm) is entitled, "Being a Hero to Ourselves: The Power of Self Care for the Grief Professional."
An evening session for the general public will be offered from 6pm-730pm. Dr. Harrington's presentation will be on "Superhero Grief: Empowering Growth Through Loss."

Class Credit Information

Attending the seminar is free but 3 CE hours (social workers, therapists, nurses & funeral directors) with a $30 registration fee. (This can be purchased when completing the online registration.)
