This is an Alzheimer’s Association® educational class/group intended ONLY for those individuals living with early-stage dementia. It will meet on the last Tuesday of every month at 2pm.

Each month there will be a different PLWD Peer leading the discussion of ways that they are "Living Well" with a diagnosis of early stage dementia and to talk about how they have "reinvented" their lives. This group's focus is to help change the "tragedy" narrative into an "empowered" narrative.

This is a safe place for people living with dementia to:
•Exchange practical information on challenges & possible solutions •Develop a support system with people who understand •Talk through issues & ways of coping •Share feelings, needs & concerns •Learn about local community resources •Connect with others on the same journey as you.

This group is PLWD-peer led w/an Alzheimer's Association staff moderating.

NEW participants must call one day prior to the meeting for a brief assessment by calling Jamie Guay at 864-312-6434 or email: jguay@alz.org

Industry professionals: please share this with the families that you work with that could benefit from an Early Stage Program.

This is NOT intended for caregivers (professional/family) or anyone other than those individuals diagnosed with the Early Stages of dementia.
